We stayed in the Laughing Water treehouse at Geronimo Creek Retreat and had a lovely experience. Amazing experience. We had an additional twelve family and friends joining us for the big birthday bash on the deck of Laughing Water and Singing Cloud tree houses. The construction quality is awesome. We had a great time and the weather could not have been more perfect! We had a minor issue with the lights and AC but the grounds manager came right away and fixed it. Laughing water is a beautiful cabin. Linens were provided for all 3. At Geronimo Creek Retreat, the views are beyond your wildest dreams. We were impressed with the grounds and even more so by the treehouse.Only issues were the gameroom and Wifi (broken items and Wifi didn't work). There was plenty to do with our small children and for the adults also. You're surprisingly close to grocery stores in case you forgot something as well. The room and bathroom were both clean. The grounds include a pretty little creek; we only used it to paddleboat (boats and life jackets were available at the dock for free). It proved difficult for our younger children and most of the adults in our party. But overall it was great!! My family and I enjoyed it very much. This is our second time coming to Geronimo creek this summer. We booked the tree house "Laughing Water". Other than that everything was perfect and we are definitely coming back! The air-conditioned unit is fitted with a kitchen. These are closest to the road (but there is a fence and trees separating the road from the property), and ideal for our family as we weren't by any other glamping tents and had a fantastic view and access to the water. We brought several of our own things that we didn't end up using because the cabin was very well stocked. Our accomodations were very clean. Geronimo Creek has been monitored by GBRA as part of the Clean Rivers Program since late 1996. We did take our own wood and are glad we did, as our neighbors had to go purchase some at the nearby grocery store. The loft has two additional queen-sized beds. There’s an outdoor hot tub onsite, and most of the units are equipped with full kitchens. The hot tub did not work and would of been nice to enjoy but other than that , it went well. My husband likes to lazy snorkel and that is just not possible here. The cleaning crew tried to come in 30 min before our 11am checkout and they yelled down to us on the dock that it was our check out day.....also, property owners kid was cleaning in the game room when we were there. This was the best getaway. So quiet and fun to get to know other families as well. Very cozy and nice. We didn't have to worry about anything and can't wait until we're able to go back! You’re not allowed to play any music. The cabin had plenty of room for our family of 5. We had a really great time hanging out on the porch and at the river. Our family enjoyed the creek, paddle boat, canoe and swimming. The amenities were exactly as described and great to use. Anyway, the property and the treehouses were both great. Racially profiled. LOVED that there were kayak's, standing boards, plenty of floats to share for everyone, but the water is murky and not clear. However, the house had enough space for 8 of us and had a great view of the water. The TeePee was perfect with all the convieninces minus a microwave. Creek was a little flooded, but what part of Texas isn't! I was shocked when we arrived to see that the grounds were a mess (dock was covered in mud, kayaks on the dock and not able to be tied to the side, lots of erosion to the grass area near the creek) and the inside of the house not super clean - dust everywhere on the floors, and no wi-fi even when notified that it was not working. This was not the case. We had plenty of room and access to play equipment and grills. Would definitely consider staying here again. The further you go down (and you can't go terribly far) the water is stagnant and not fit for swimming. Very beautiful place to stay. Grill, stove, fridge and AC all worked well in the treehouse. Has upstairs loft which has 2 queen beds. There are also gas grills and grilling tools provided for the cabin. The loft was an amazing space for the kids to sleep and play. The deck is huge and shared by Singing Cloud. Great treehouse rental! The metal staircase to the loft was very narrow and steep. There were a few rotten spots in the floor close to the windows but the maintenance guy came out the next morning after making the report. The grounds were serene at night; a perfect escape from the daily grind. Never could get WiFi to work on the property, but that is minor. It's not fancy. The cabin was very clean and air conditioned. There is an area where there are tipi's, that a kind family let us look into, that was super cute BUT the pond that the tipi's surround was kinda scary (VERY green, stagnant). With walk in shower and regular staircase to the loft. Lots for kids to do, deck is perfect for casual visiting and enjoying the beautiful scenery. I liked the place but I really think that I need some improvements more cleaning and more maintenance because it is a lovely place but it was not as clean as I was expecting more like clean sheets because we found a lot of hair and a lot of dust. The kids love the river and had a lots of fun but I'm not sure if I will come back because I was expecting for the price a more clean and cozy place.
